The grant funding of £10,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation and £1,000 from the Arnold Clark Community Fund will greatly reduce the financial strains we face as a charity and allow us to concentrate on our services, whilst researching new initiatives and projects that will improve the well being and quality of life in our community throughout the upcoming year.

We are immensely thankful for their continued support and very generous contributions.

Wessex Water Foundation Grant

The Community Fund aims to supports community-based activities or projects that meet a local need and seek to improve the lives of local people. Bringing communities together and helping support people through the cost-of-living crisis, the fund is part of the Wessex Water Foundation which provides dedicated funding for projects across the Wessex Water region every year.

These funds will enable us to upgrade the Somerford ARC premises in order to improve Disability access and ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of our users. The improvements will include replacement of our entrance doors, upgrade of our rest room facilities, purchase of an evacuation chair and staff/volunteer training.
